Folding wooden chess set 39 × 39 cm – rosewood, weighted pieces with felt bases & 2 extra queens

A quiet evening, a good move, and the satisfying sound of weighted pieces settling onto wood: with this folding rosewood chess set, bring classic gameplay home. Unfolded, the 39 × 39 cm board offers plenty of room for relaxed games; folded, it becomes a handy case just 6 cm tall. All the pieces are safely stored in perfectly fitted compartments, so nothing gets lost. And with two extra queens, you're fully prepared for any pawn promotion.

You'll love this

• Weighted pieces with felt bottoms: The pieces stand securely, are less likely to tip over, and glide quietly across the board without scratching the surface.
• Board and storage in one: Unfolded, it measures 39 × 39 cm; folded, just 39 × 20 × 6 cm. Two gold-colored metal clasps keep the case securely closed.
• Fitted compartments for every piece: Each piece has its own designated spot. Nothing rattles and nothing gets lost.
• Coordinates along the edges: The lettering a–h and 1–8 makes it easier to learn, record, and replay games.
• Rosewood and poplar wood: Rosewood board with a lacquered finish, and classically turned poplar wood pieces, including a knight with a sculpted horse's head.
• Two extra queens: One of each color, ready for pawn promotion, so you don't have to use replacement pieces.
